Ok, I consider you all friends now, and you know some odd little tidbits about me...so I am gonna tell you how sad I am tonight. I don't mean a little blue, but truely kinda sad... I was all giddy today because I had a week left before I got to see my hero in the flesh. Yes, THE woman who is full of 'good things' and master crafter... Martha, yes, that wonderful woman who spent time in jail, teaching the convicts about the finer things in life. My personal hero is coming to my area for a book signing and I just found out that I would have to take the day off next wednesday. Wristbands will be given out at 9 am and then it's all about waiting for a ticket. *sigh* She was so close and now it's just gone. Ya know, I will get the Cooking School book, but her name won't be inside. I will still love it and think of her fondly when I touch it's cover...{remember, I don't like to cook!}
Tonight I wanna show you a card that I made for a baby shower. It's that cute teddybella, from Stamping Bella, and I am in love with the layout/colors.
I was told it's a perfect image because the girl who's pregnant is just tiny, and then has her baby belly! The sentiment is stamped out with those $1.00 stamps I found this spring. I also wanna show you what I came up with for the same mom-to-be, and it's for a gift for her and one for the baby...
I was asked if I could come up with some little cards, like when you purchase matching wrapping paper. I came up with this idea from the start...but wasn't sure how I wanted to embellish. The papers are coordinationg Daisy D papers, and I pulled out some buttons and voila'! The alphabet stamps are from Hero Arts. Hope the new mom likes it all!
Thanks for listening to my Martha story, and see ya soon!

You are a genius, I tell ya! And I feel your pain...I love me some Martha!

Oh, your card is sooooooooo cute! Beautifully done! I'm sorry about your Martha disappointment. Gosh, you couldn't get the day off for such an important event? Darn those jobs! I have the same problem (job) so I feel for you.

Adorable cards! The teddy bella is too cute and i really love those small cards - such a wonderful idea.
I've been away on business for the last couple of days so I'm still catching up on what I missed since I couldn't get to a computer. I'm SO sorry about Martha - such a bummer that you couldn't get a day off to wait in line - is there anyone who could do it for you??

Wow that card is fantastic...and the Mom and Baby ones too-you are so clever!
I feel your disappointment about Martha *sigh*. You know, I bet if you sent her one of your fabulous cards she would swoon and forever be your biggest fan and travel personally to your home and hand you a signed book! Then your could craft and cook together (ok, you could watch her cook)until the end of time. Doesn't hurt to fantasize...
Feel better!!

These cards are great. Well done with the two little ones, it's not always that easy to come up with something that's not standard.

OH MY! I would DIE if I ever saw Martha. I LOVEY her so much. I tape and watch her show EVERY day. Never miss it. And you know what? I actually spoke with her on the phone one. I was one of her "viewer mail" segments and she gave me the tour of her behind the scenes (kitchen, craft room, board room etc) while I was on the phone with her live. I am so a Martha Wannabe! And a Paula Wannabe!!!
And one more thing...your cards are amazing. The M and the B are just beyond brilliant!!
