One of the other things I played around with was coloring up the tree that comes with this set. I turned them into tags that I am gonna use this Christmas. I used a crackling liquid from Ranger for the first time. I wanna play with it more on some Christmas ornaments, but I like the look it gives. It's officially less than two months till Christmas, is anyone else ready to decorate their tree like I am? Mine does go up in mid November around my birthday, because I love to look at it. Thanks for stopping by today, I still have a few more Halloween cards to share. bye... Oh my! I pulled out my Whipper Snapper Gifts of Christmas stamp set this weekend. I wanted to use the square shaped 'holly jolly Christmas' type block, and see what I could create with it. I wanted it as my background and then popped the present on top. I wrapped the presents with a thin brown twine I found at Archivers. This is one example of where I used my patterned paper as a jumping off point for what other colors I was gonna use. This piece of Basic Grey is one of my favorites still, and even though blues aren't my favorite colors...I like it in Christmas paper! Odd, I know! lol

What a fun card - love how you used the twine on the present. The tags will be the perfect touch for any holiday present too. Love all the details you incorporate into your projects.
Thanks for showcasing such a fun set! Oh there are so many sets that I would love to have like this one, but just not enough time to enjoy then to justify getting them! :( Well, maybe I can get just this one...

Oh I really like that card! The softening of the edges really has a neat effect!.
The trees are too adorable! I love how you always shade things "just right".
Thanks for sharing!

Those tree tags are adorable. I don't get into the christmas decorations until the day after Thanksgiving. I have some fall decorations that I love so I keep them up as long as possible. Thanks for sharing.

Great card, gives me an idea on using my birthday background stamp :-) I also like the tags, they are so clever, if only I had loads of time.
