Did ya think I was done showing ya all my Magnolia cards? LOL, I'm not finished just yet...
I fell in love with the egg images that I was sent and I colored them with eggs I ave seen on the cover of Martha or from Anna Wight's blog as my inspiration. I love the pale blue and aqua's that some of the eggs get 'painted' by their momma's.
This second card is one I wasn't going to show off because it's not one I am totally happy with. When I got to coloring the eggs, I did them in more tradional easter egg colors...big mistake because I couldn't decide on any paper I liked to pair it with. {will I never learn this lesson?} I can't help but be lured by some of the pretty purple shades in my pencil collection, but I always pay the price! lol I used colored pencils and blended with gamsol for both of these images.
That's four cards down, and three more to show you. I also wanted to mention that when I sent these cards back to Sweden I included a note that I was stepping down from the Design Team. I was honored to be asked and while I enjoy coloring up the Magnolia images...I realized I can not keep up with how much time I put into them. I had to decide if I wanted to be able to make time for working in my yard this spring, and I do. Thanks Magnolia!

Oh wow...I'm so sad...I love how you color Magnolias. I think you are the best out there! Oh well, I'll still get inspiration from you! You are an awesome colorist! And you are still a Bellababe! My second fav! These cards are phenomonal! I love the paper and sewing that you put along with it!! And I don't know why but I love the look of the textured background paper.(Bazzil?)

I am sure they will feel the loss of losing you as a designer but I can only imagine that it must be time consuming for you. I was just glancing through the past few cards you made that I missed and wow, they are all sooooooo beautiful and cheerful. I love everyone of them!

What a delightful set of Easter egg cards. I adore the egg filled wagon AND the tipped over basket images. Your coloring is superb, Paula. I love your flawless stitching too. What an interesting X stitch on the basket card where vertical green panel joins the outer blue ones! It's precious!

I love both of these cards, they're gorgeous, and was about to suggest you send me the one you weren't completely happy about:) I'd take it in a heartbeat, but I see it's been sent to Sweden (sigh). I'm sorry you need to step down as a designer for Magnolia, but to be truthful, I kind of wondered how you were doing it all!! I have been in heaven visiting your blog everyday but still wondering how you did so much. Thanks for sharing your art.
