In case you were wondering if I went off on vacation and didn't say anything...I didn't! Well, I sorta had a vacation of sorts, maybe like camping{without electricity} after some wicked storms blew through on saturday afternoon. ***note...I don't like to camp or sweat.Let me tell you, I was both of those saturday and I had a headache from working in the yard. Power was out for 24 hours and it was enough to know we reallyneed to invest in a generator. Luckily we have 'city' water now and no longer use a community well, so toilet and showers all keep working. I cleaned and organized and felt like doing nothing craft wise...I couldn't use my sewing machine, LOL, what was the point?
Before we get onto my card...today is the release of more new stamps from Stamping Bella! I can NOT wait to see what's in store for us!! Here is Emily's post from yesterday... If I knew how to happy dance I would, so lets not think about that sight and move on to my card!
I had been planning on using Skully from the Ketto line at Stamping Bella. I have loved skulls since I was a teenager, hmmmm. I wanted to emboss and I was making all these plans. You know what they say about plans don't ya? My black EP was not working...does it get old or have I just never used it? I can't remember, but it went into the trash.
I went with clear EP on pink cs, and stamped out the large skully in Memento black. Yes, I still had to give a little color with a pencil and a little gamsol. I really had visions of my own patterned paper with the small scully, and I had not made an acrylic card in a long time. I am going to need a card for a 16 year old girl and my niece's birthday will be here before I know it..she is a skull fan too.
On the inside I used the small skully again and the happy birthday sentiment. I feel another skully coming on, so don't be surprised if ya see another real soon! In the meantime get to thinking, and making a card for the next Bella-RIFIC challenge this friday. It's a sketch challenge by Jen del Muro, check it out here on da Bella's blog. {for some reason I am not able to get the sketch to come up on my post?}
Wanna race to see who gets to see what's new at the Bella's house!!

Love the design, so cool! The card is perfect for a teenager :) Never actually seen a skully used for a birthday card before, this was really something else, but in a good and cool way.
