Ahhhh, BellaRIFFIC friday is here at last... I love fridays for almost just that reason. I mean, kick off to the weekend and some fantastic 'eye candy' to get the weekend rollin'!
How's about I show you just what I crossed back into the States with, last weekend, from my Bellaland trip...
Yes, that's right folks, I moved a mountain into my room! A mountain of glorious rubber!! lol
and 'stuff' that is bright and prettty! Look at that glitter, just shimmering in little bottles... hmmmm, I may need to take a day off just to stand around at my kitchen island and stamp it all out.
Raise your hands if you like quirky... and I mean this is the highest regards! I did the typewriter by Jessica Rose, and now I wanted to tackle Limelight. I did it first with the lights "on"...I will do it again with the lights "out" {at some point} I have loved this image because it soooo much reminds me of my favorite section in one of my favorite stores IKEA!!! I love the hanging lights and this here is what I am talking about...
I colored my image using my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I also used the Cosmo Cricket paper, Everafter, as a starting point for my color selection. {{see the light on the far bottom left? it looks like the paper color, a little.}} I tried to make them appear glowing, or more like radiating some sort of light...lol I added dimensional glaze to three of the lights and I followed the sketch pretty dang well. {thanks Lindabella for that sketch...mwah!}} I wrote the sentiment in myself, because by the time I was done with this card, I didn't leave much room for Emily's sentiment, which is the exact same... "you brighten my day".
I can not wait to check back to Emily's blog later and see what everyone else...including you all's submissions. Even my number one student Meahni got in on the action from South Africa!! Yeah!
Peace out friends and have a safe holiday if I don't see ya on saturday. I will be home for most of the day if you wanna drop by and chat, but I will be coloring!! :)

WOWEE Sistah that's a lotta Bella goodnesssss!! I'm jealous! And I'm lovin what you did with the sketch, fabulous job!!

Wow, I want to come to your house and "play"...that is one mother-lode of stamps you got there! I am not sure that I could actually go to the Bella store, I don't think I could leave without one of each. Darling card, another image that I had never noticed before. Great job!

Aaah i quite liked my card, until I saw yours. AND I really wanted to do a bit of sewing for a change, but it was far too cold and the sewing room is next to the study, LOL! Such great colours, and that light matches the paper perfectly. Thanks for the 'gold star', I'm only number one cause I have a very good teacher!

I'm not ashamed to say that I am green with envy. Your stash looks awesome. A trip to Toronto and Bellaland is on my list of things to do... hopefully sooner rather than later. Have fun playing with your goodies!

Hey Paula, I often stalk around your blog just trying to have a little of your wonderful style and technique rub off!! w/c pencils and gamsol are my favourite media. I didn't know Bella was Canadian until I kept seeing you post trips across the border!! I even live just an hour and a half from Bellaland and have finally landed a few of the bellas in my stamp stash (via post), but after seeing your FABULOUS rubbah mountain, and always amazing creations, I'm gearing for a trip. I'm even hoping to gear up the "noive" to join in one of your cross the border classes in the fall...I love your blog, lady, just lettin' ya know...Michele

Seeing all that rubber is making my heart beat a little bit faster...
I love, LOVE how you have colored that image! Those lamps DO look like they could come from Ikea... This is just another one of your fan-TAS-tic cards! Fabulous! I never get tired of seeing what you come up with.
I broke out my Prismacolor and Gamsol this weekend and tried my hand again at coloring. I am slowly improving. I think looking at the way you do your shading and mix your colours is helping me understand how to achieve a better look myself.
Thanks for always taking the time to share! :D
