Happy Tuesday! I am kinda excited today...no, didn't win the lottery or get a phone call from my George. Know what has me happy, {I hope} I finally joined Audible.com and downloaded a book to listen to while I am welding at work. haha...the simple things in life huh! Ok, figuring it all out on my own, it was a 45 minute task for this babe...but I am hopefully enjoying "The Life of Henry XIV", as you read this. Bet you never would have figured me for such a historical kinda reader. It all started with the Marie Antionette movie, then The Other Boleyn Girl, The Tudors, Catherine... Love it!
What else do I loooove... yeah, you guessed it, coloring! I have a non-inked Bella to show you today. {non-inked and colored until now!} I have had "globetrottabella " for longer than I care to admit. I have stamped up so many images that I have not colored and made a nice little pile of "to do". Since it was after the holidays. I was looking through my favorite paper packs and I decided to use some Cosmo Cricket 'Earth Love' for my inspiration. Do you pick your paper first?? Ya know I never used too, but it makes coloring soooo much easier.
Bella, herself is stamped on Bella's bestest paper and colored with my prismacolor pencils. I use Versafine, black onyx for stamping, when I use my pencils and gamsol. I added glitter and clear glaze pen...you can't see it here, but the water area on the globe, is glazed and shiny! I liked it without the bow, but I found a sheer ribbon that didn't cover up my image and left it with an airy feel.
This is one classy traveler, but I knew I wanted to make it NOT about travel and about focusing on the sentiment I had bought at Stamping Bella..."you mean the world to me". I loved that sentiment when I saw it and then I saw the globe and I knew that was how the two would be put together.
Now, I have to ask you...did you look at the sketch and come up with a plan
for a card to submit to Emily?
We get our challenges nice and early and all the Babes try to get the newest Challenge posted on fridays, so you have the weekend to create. So, now you know, that if you don't see it here on friday, then one of the other Babe's should have it posted.
I get to go looking for a table for Jim's new TV, when I get out of work today. Good thing I colored and got some more class prep done yesterday. I haven't said this in a while so WELCOME! to all the new readers and subscribers. I hope I inspire you a little to play with your pencils. :)

This is just awesome. I would never have thought of getting this stamp, now you got me thinking :-)

It is such a treat to follow your blog, Paula. You share such helpful tips(pickin the paper first can make coloring and assembling sooooo much easier--sometimes we might know it, forget it, and need to hear it again!!), and a bit of fun chitter chatter (enjoy the audio history session!!) I know it's always a pleasure for me to stop by. This globetrotabella is PHENOM (LOVE the glitzy head scarf)
