I have a new Easter image to show you, eggy bouquet, from the *NEW* Bella release!
If you were on Emily's blog on friday, then you just might have already caught a peek at this. I colored this twice and this is the second version, the first one will appear here before Easter hits us. If you might be wondering why I did two versions, it has to do with an oval. Yeah, I cut it out with an oval nestie then I started re-thinking if I wanted the oval shape. Then I started re-thinking my egg colors...it was a roller coaster coloring session and you can see for your self, very shortly, LOL
So, what did I do here... I stamped this on Bella's Bestest paper, but you already knew that before I typed it, right? I colored with my prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol...you are so smart to have guessed that as well! You deserve a gold star!! This got some sparkle {aka glitter} around the eggs, but the eggs got no shine...I left them matte. I used a scrap piece of Chatterbox paper {is is appropriate to say RIP to them...I LOVED that company's lines} and scrap piece of Bo-Bunnies double dots, never throw that out! haha
Now, a little informal poll, what do ya think about my ribbon. I love it with my card, it's a big Easter-y bow, but it's understated, not cotton-candy pink. I see this as elegant, but that is me and I'm the maker. {someone teased me about the bow...asked if I couldn't have gotten it bigger!} That gorjuss ribbon, btw, is from a gal up in the northern parts of Michigan, Sharon Johnson. I had seen some awesome HUGE bows on my fellow Babe's cards, Jeanie, and asked where she got it. With all the luck in the world on my side...she purchase online from Sharon, and so did I. Just wanna add, excellent service, good prices and speedy! Thanks Sharon!!

Paula this is one gorgeous card! I love the bow! I think it just makes it!

I think it's just perfect. :) Beautiful card - and even though the bow is big, it does not take the focal point from the image. Love it!

I think the bow is fabulous!! If I ever received this card (not possible, I know!) it would be front and center where everyone could ooooh and aaaah over it. I love pink and brown together and I absolutely love your coloring!!! tfs

Paula, I wonder who said that about your bow? I have one guess and I bet I'm right! Tell her you could put wax on it!!! Love the card....as with everything you do.

I love the way you use ribbon on cards, Paula. Big, small, just a snippet; it always looks perfect even when it pushes our comfort zones!! You challenge us to see and think outside the box and we are grateful for all the talent and tips you share (it's also fun to have friends who love us and know us and are comfortable enough to tease us,too!!) Love the muted tones on this beauty.

Hey Hey Paula (sorry, I just had to sing it). Your card is gorgeous! A big ass ribbon yes, but it works!!! It looks perfect. My new stamps from Bella should arrive tomorrow - this one was on my list. Thanks for the inspiration Sistah!

Loved the ribbon....once again you have me spending some bucks. I need to stay away from the places your money goes. Too bad you do not make commission. (You'd be rich!)

Well my sistah, I think that is one "SHUT UP" bow if I've ever seen one!! Hey, the bigger the better in my book! LOVE it, as well as the whole card.

Wow, some vehement big-ass bow defenders, lol! I think it's fine if you're not mailing it...and your images are such a standout so the bow couldn't overshadow it if it wanted too!

Only you can make such an unusual image so gorgeous. Love the bow - I must try a big bow, but it scares me, lol!
