Happy BellaRIFFIC **spring** Friday!!!
The weather has been exceptionally warm for us and spending the day indoors {and working} is making the day drag slowly... New rubbah could cheer me up and I think I know just where to search for it at... Stamping Bella! Here is a *new* Izzie, and she has some special birthday presents to share.
I was thinking I wanted to dress Izzie in a very pale blue dress with a pretty red sweater, but I didn't have any patterned paper for this, can you believe it? I pulled this paper out of my Cosmo Cricket 6x6 pad and went with a soft jade green. Izzie is stamped on Bella's bestest paper and colored with my prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I added lots of sparkle to her sweater with my Glamour Dust glitter, and the polka dotted bow is from my liquid applique. I have been playing around with my grass these days and not doing long wispy blades...keeping it kinda short and soft. It is amazing, all the different looks you can get. {**note to any students who have colored with me in class....are you practicing the grass too?}
This weekend I am putting the paintbrush down and heading up to my parents house. Just me, the dog and a couple pre-teen giggly girls. When I get back, I need to start clearing off the few things on the kitchen walls and get that ready to paint...still not sure on that color yet, need to pick one.
Next week's challenge is a monochromatic one! Put your color thinking caps on and lets show everyone how gorjuss one color can be. Hmmmm, maybe if you live close enough to Bellaland you can show off those new images too! Stop by Emily's blog and see what the rest of the Babes have been doing and check out the sistahood gallery!
til then, peace out and have a nice weekend!!

Aaaaah this is too sweet. I love the colours and paper, such a gorgeous card!

Adorable Paula. I want her. Te He after the last time I saw you I still have about 20 Bellas that I haven't had time to color though. Don't tell the hubs. I ventured into some new colors this weekend and even submitted for this week's Bella challenge. I used The Birthday Boy like you showed us in class but I switched up some of the colors - partly because I wanted to match paper and partly because I was silly and left my aqua shades in MI while I was in NY. UGGH. Can't thank you enough for all your tips. Now I need to tackle grass using your coaching as a guide...keep your fingers crossed. Have a great weekend!
